One man is dead after a fatal car wreck in Augusta County.

Virginia State Police say the wreck occurred at about 3:20 p.m. Saturday on Route 250 at Windward Road when 47-year-old Timothy Flick drove his Chevrolet Tahoe off the road and struck a utility pole.

Police say Flick was taken to a hospital where he later died. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
