Newtown,CT : Mother killed in Newtown motorcycle crash on April, sunday 23th 2017
Friends and co-workers remembered the 27-year-old Newtown mother who was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening as hardworking and loving.
Police said Jaclyn Ann Schulz died while on a motorcycle ride around 7:45 p.m. Sunday. Schulz was rounding a curve near 64 Currituck Road when she drifted too close to the shoulder, hit the curb and then crashed into a utility pole, according to police. She was transported to Danbury Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
She was wearing a helmet and, police said, the accident is still being investigated. Police are asking witnesses to call (203) 426-5841 with information.
It was the second fatal motorcycle accident in Newtown in a week. On April 18, Martin Amidon, of Glover Avenue, was killed in an accident on Riverside Road. He, too, was wearing a helmet, Lt. Aaron Bahamonde said.
