Victoria, TX : Man hospitalized after a one-vehicle rollover crash north of Cuero early Thursday, May 12, 2016

A Cuero man was hospitalized early Thursday after a one-vehicle rollover crash north of Cuero, authorities said.

William T. Rohan, 52, was in stable condition at DeTar Hospital Navarro on Thursday afternoon, said Trooper Ruben San Miguel, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.

San Miguel said Rohan had been drinking and charges were pending. His blood-alcohol content was not available.

The case is under investigation, San Miguel said.

Around 12:55 a.m. Thursday, Rohan was traveling north on Farm-to-Market Road 766 in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, San Miguel said.

Rohan drove over a railroad crossing at an unsafe speed and drifted into an embankment. The truck then became airborne, San Miguel said.

The Silverado came to rest on the driver's side door.

The Cuero Volunteer Fire Department and the Cuero Fire Department responded about 1 a.m. to the crash.

Responders removed the vehicle's roof to access Rohan, according to the Cuero Fire Department.
