WICHITA, KS : Woman killed in crash on I-235 in west Wichita on Thursday, 3rd August 2023

A crash killed a woman on a west Wichita highway Thursday night.

It happened at around 10:45 p.m. near Central. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 22-year-old Kassandra Ramos was driving north on I-235 when her Suzuki passenger car crossed the grass median, went into southbound lanes and struck an oncoming Jeep.

Ramos, of Wichita, died at the scene. The 38-year-old Newton woman driving the Jeep had minor injuries.
