KNOXVILLE, TN :Mother dies in Knoxville car crash on July, Saturday 22th 2017

A mother died in a car crash in Knoxville Saturday morning.

Knoxville police say the crash happened around 6:42 a.m. on Western Avenue and Mynders Avenue.

Joyce Holt, 32, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer with her three children in the SUV. Holt tried was traveling east on Western approaching Tennessee Avenue.

She tried to make a right-hand turn when the vehicle drifted to the left causing her to over-correct which led to the SUV rolling over, according to the report.

Holt died at the scene. The children received minor injuries and were transported to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

Investigators believe the mother was not wearing a seatbelt.
