JACKSON, MS : Man killed while sitting inside vehicle identified on Friday, 26th January 2024

Jackson Police have identified the man killed while sitting inside a vehicle Friday evening.

A press release says at 8:30 p.m., a suspect shot Devaun Johnson, 23, and a woman while they were sitting inside a black Lexus on Ellis Avenue near Highway 80.

Johnson died at the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.
