Prescott Valley, AZ : Two motorcyclists injured in a two vehicle collision at Intersection of Highways 69 and 169 On Friday, April 22nd, 2016
Two motorcycle riders were sent to the hospital along with a man who stepped out in front of them, causing a crash, Friday, April 22, a PVPD spokesman said.
About 5 p.m., the motorcycle, driven by a 63-year-old man, with his wife, 64, riding as a passenger, was approaching the intersection of Highways 69 and 169, when a 24-year-old man tried to cross the road just ahead of them, according to Sgt.
Jake Jackson.
The collision caused the two riders to be thrown from the motorcycle.
Both the pedestrian and the passenger suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and were flown to John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.
The man was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center with bruises and a sprained ankle.
“There are no citations issued at this time as investigation continues, but there is no initial indication of impaired or distracted driving and safety equipment employed by the motorcyclists appears to have been instrumental in preventing even more
serious injuries,” Jackson said.
