Poland, ME : Drivers uninjured after head-on collision on Route 11 in Poland on Sunday night, April 10, 2016
Two drivers were uninjured Sunday night after their vehicles collided head-on on Route 11, also known as Bakerstown Road.
Bakerstown Road was blocked off for approximately one and a half hours from Tripp Lake Road to White Oak Hill Road while the scene was investigated, according to Poland Fire Chief Mark Bosse.
"It was a very fortunate incident," Bosse said. "I don't know how they both walked away. The vehicles were completely destroyed. It could have been a lot worse."
This incident is still under investigation by the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office, and names of the drivers were not available Sunday night.
