Kahoka,MO : Two injured in one-vehicle crash east of Kahoka on December, Tuesday 5th 2017
Two people were injured one seriously in a crash Tuesday night east of Kahoka.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2007 Buick Rendezvous driven by Joseph A. Selmon, 24, of Kahoka, was traveling west on U.S. 136, 2 miles east of Kahoka at 7:45 p.m. when he fell asleep, drove off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle became airborne, overturned and came to rest on a fence, the patrol said.
Selmon was taken by Clark County Ambulance to Unity Point Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa, with minor injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle, Heather M. Scigliano, 25, of Kahoka, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with serious injuries.
The patrol said both were wearing seat belts.
The Clark County Sheriff's Department, Clark County Rescue and Clark County EMS assisted at the crash scene.
