EUSTIS, FL : New York woman dead after Eustis crash on State Road 44 and Cardinal Lane on Tuesday, 11th February, 2020

A 22-year-old New York woman was killed in a car crash Tuesday afternoon in Eustis.

The woman’s identity is being withheld by troopers pending next of kin notification.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the crash happened around noon on State Road 44 and Cardinal Lane and involved a dump truck and a Camry.

The woman was traveling in the Camry on Cardinal Lane and pulled out into the path of the dump truck, which was driven by a 40-year-old Sanford man. It’s not currently known if the woman ran the stop sign.

The report said alcohol was not a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
