Kansas man hit, killed by car after accident
A man is dead following a crash involving a deer in northwest Kansas yesterday.The crash happened shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday on highway K-9 approximately two miles west of Densmore in Norton County.According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling eastbound when it hit a deer. The driver then swerved, over-corrected into the north ditch and rolled over. He was ejected from the SUV.The driver has been identified as 64-year-old Ernest Leroy Kilpatrick of Collyer. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. No one else was hurt.
