COPPERAS COVE, TX : One dead in vehicle accident in Copperas Cove on Friday, 12th August, 2016

One woman is dead and another hospitalized after a Friday morning collision involving two vehicles on Business Highway 190.
Cove Police are investigating the accident, which occurred at 7 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Business Highway 190 by the Extraco Bank. Cove police and fire departments responded to the scene and the initial investigation revealed a 2005 Volkswagen Passat was traveling east when it crossed over the center median into the oncoming westbound lane. The Volkswagen collided head-on with a 2014 Toyota Camry traveling west.
The operator of the Toyota Camry, a 20-year-old female, was transported by helicopter to Scott and White Hospital with injuries. The operator of the Volkswagen Passat, a 23-year-old female, died from her injuries. She was pronounced dead by Judge William “Bill” Price.
Cove police are continuing to investigate the incident and said further information will be released as it becomes available.
