Rapid City ,SD : 56-Year old Motorcyclist injured in collision on Saturday afternoon ,July 25th 2015

A 56-year-old male from Black Hawk was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital in an ambulance Saturday afternoon after a collision at the intersection of Omaha Street and Mount Rushmore Road, according to the Rapid City Police Department.

The man was riding westbound on a motorcycle and was squeezing in between the lanes when he clipped an SUV. After he clipped the vehicle, the man attempted to stop but the motorcycle tipped over, said Sgt. Jess Alexander of the Rapid City Police Department.

The man suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries.

The collision is still under investigation and charges are pending, Alexander said.

The man was not wearing a helmet.
