Homer, NY : Delaware County man dies in pickup truck, dump truck collision in Homer on Friday morning, October 31, 2014
A dump truck crashed into a pickup truck on Route 90 Friday morning in the town of Homer, killing one of the drivers, according to State Police in Homer.
Killed in the crash was pickup truck driver, Raymond C. Wamsley, 38, of Stamford, Delaware County. He was declared dead at the scene.
Tyler Bloodgood, 27, of Moravia, was driving west around 9:20 a.m. when he crossed into the east lane, hitting the pickup truck head-on, police said.
A passenger in the pickup, Herbert Roe, 50, of East Meredith, was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center with injuries that are not life threatening and has been released.
Bloodgood was also treated at Cortland Regional Medical Center and has been released, police said.
The accident is still being investigated.
