RIVERVIEW, FL : Motorcyclist weaving through traffic killed in crash on U.S. 301 on Thursday, January, 4th 2018
A 18-year-old Wimauma motorcyclist died Thursday when he drove into the right side of a pickup truck on U.S. 301, authorities said.
Bradley Broughton was driving a 2016 Yamaha FZ6R north on U.S. 301 in the center lane at a high rate of speed just before 9 a.m. when the driver of a 1999 Ford F150 attempted to make a left turn into Ambleside Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The truck drove into Broughton’s path and the Broughton’s crashed into the side of the vehicle, the Highway Patrol said.
Broughton, 18, was wearing a helmet but died at the scene. The driver of the Ford, Antonio Martinez-Ramirez, 71, received minor injuries.
Broughton was weaving through traffic before he collided with he truck, the Highway Patrol said.
