Attleboro, MA : Two drivers injured in head-on crash in Pleasant Street Monday night May 9th, 2016
Firefighters had to use cutting tools to free one of two women drivers in a head-on crash on Pleasant Street Monday night.
The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near the HarborOne Credit Union.
The crash closed Pleasant Street (Route 123) for about a half-hour.
Firefighters on the scene said they had to use hydraulic cutting tools to free one of the drivers.
The accident victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, and were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, police and fire officials said.
Both were conscious when pulled from the wreckage.
The crash was on Pleasant Street, near Biltmore Street.
The front-ends of the cars, both sedans, where crushed by the impact.
Officials said neither vehicle had any passengers.
Traffic was diverted around the crash scene and the vehicles were removed within a half-hour of the crash.
