BEDFORD COUNTY, VA : Deputy among two hurt in three-vehicle crash in Bedford County on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

A Bedford County Sheriff’s deputy and one other person were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries after a crash Wednesday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say the deputy was on Route 24/Stewartsville Road, responding to an incident with his lights on, turning left onto Beagle Club Road. As he was turning, the driver of a Nissan hit the deputy’s cruiser, pushing it into a Ford Escape at the stop sign. The Nissan driver was the second person hurt.

The Ford driver was not injured.
