Memphis, TN : Children, adults injured following crash in Whitehaven on Wednesday afternoon, December 14, 2016

Multiple people, including children, were injured in a car crash in Whitehaven on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Shelby Drive and Elvis Presley Boulevard.

Memphis Police Department said multiple ambulances have taken injured people to different hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

MPD said one vehicle flipped. The person inside the vehicle was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Police said it is unclear if a second vehicle, a black Jeep, was actually involved in the crash.
