Racine County ,WI : Bicyclist hurt in Racine County hit-and-run crash on early Tuesday morning ,August 11th 2015

A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Racine County early Tuesday morning.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a bicycle and car on Highway 36 in the Town of Norway shortly before 1 a.m.

The bicyclist, a 38-year-old man from Waterford, was riding southbound on the highway when he was struck from behind by a dark-colored vehicle, which then fled the scene, authorities said.

A black passenger-side mirror was found at the scene.

The bicyclist, who suffered a broken collarbone, a bruised hip and cuts and abrasions, was transported to Froedtert Hospital and later released, authorities said.
