Rutland,VT : Local man dies after Oct. 22 crash on October, Sunday 22th 2017

A Sudbury man thrown from his motorcycle during a threevehicle collision in Killington last month has died, according to police.

Vermont State Police said Monday that Michael Petralia, 79, has died of his injuries. A passenger on his motorcycle, Aisha Fox, 62, also of Sudbury, has had her condition upgraded from serious to stable, police said.

Police said Nicole Auclair, 30, of Plymouth, was heading west on Route 4 in Killington in her 2005 Volvo XC7 at around 10:30 a.m. Oct 22 when she rear-ended a 2010 Volkswagen CC Sport driven by Jacob Lyngdal, 20, of Orange, Connecticut.

Police said the collision knocked Lyngdal’s vehicle across the center line near East Mountain Road, where it hit Petralia’s 2005 Honda motorcycle. Petralia and Fox were ejected from the motorcycle.

Both were airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
