ASCENSION PARISH, LA : Woman killed in motorcycle crash in Ascension Parish on Sunday, 25th June 2023

Louisiana State Police troopers are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 47-year-old woman.

Troopers responded to a motorcycle crash on LA 1 near LA 943 on Sunday, June 25. Through an investigation, they learned that Claudia Barraza was driving a 2019 Can-Am Ryker when she went off the road.

She entered into a ditch and hit an embankment. Troopers said she was wearing a DOT-approved helmet. She was taken to a local hospital but died due to her injuries, the police said.
