CAMBRIDGE, WI : Crash shuts down Highway 18 near Cambridge on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

A fatal crash closed all lanes of Highway 18 near Cambridge for several hours Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported at about 5:40 a.m. Tuesday and shut down Highway 18 in both directions between Park Rd. and Wolff St. in Lake Ripley.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened between a semi and an SUV at Hope Lake Road and Highway 18 in the Town of Oakland. The SUV was heading west on Highway 18 when it approached the semi that was heading east when it crashed head-on into the semi.
