Las Vegas, NV : Motorcyclist killed in southeast valley crash Monday afternoon on August 11, 2014
A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in the southeast part of the valley.
According to Metro, a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Russell Road approaching the intersection with Lamb Boulevard at 2:38 p.m.
A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was making a left turn form westbound Russell road to southbound Lamb Boulevard.
The Chevrolet was struck on the right rear by the front of the Yamaha operated by a 25-year-old male. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Marques Alfred, 73, of Las Vegas, was transported to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance.
This is the 50th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction.
