Hillsboro,MS : 60-year-old woman killed on September, Wednesday 6th 2017

A woman was shot and killed early Wednesday morning after a shooting in Tchula.

Investigators say 60-year-old Mary Anderson was walking on Mercer Street with two of her friends when she was shot. A man came out of his home and started firing his gun, hitting and killing Anderson.

Anderson was rushed to the Holmes County hospital where she died from her injuries. No one else was injured.

Holmes County Sheriff's office is helping Tchula police and MBI look for their person of interest in the shooting. He has been identified as Roderick Washington.
