BROOKSVILLE, FL : Woman dies in Hernando crash on Wednesday, 27th November, 2019

A New Port Richey driver, 66, died Wednesday after she crossed a median and crashed into a pickup truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

About 11:30 a.m., the driver, who was not further identified, was heading north on Cortez Boulevard in a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer. She approached the intersection with State Road 50, which is near the Western Way Shopping Center and Mariner Square.

At the intersection, the driver crossed over the raised center median and into the southbound lanes, troopers reported.
