Ardmore, OK : Seven injured in drunk driving crash on Interstate 35 in Murray County on Friday night, November 4, 2016
A drunk driver, driving the wrong way on Interstate 35 Friday night, crashed into an SUV, injuring six Ardmore residents.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Mark A. Pulis, 35, Wynnewood, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35 near mile marker 51 about 7 p.m. Pulis hit a 2006 Buick driven by 32-year-old Holly A. Arriaga, was traveling northbound who tried to avoid the crash but was unsuccessful.
Arriaga was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Ardmore, where she was treated and released. Four juveniles, all from Ardmore and identified as passengers in Arriaga’s vehicle, were also taken by ambulance to the Ardmore hospital where they were treated and released. A fifth passenger, identified as David Arriaga, 37, was transported by ambulance to the Ardmore medical facility where he was admitted in fair condition with multiple injuries.
Pulis was transported to Arbuckle Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
Cause of the crash was listed as driving under the influence.
Seatbelts were in use by everyone in the SUV. The Patrol said Pulis was not buckled up at the time of the crash.
