Rochester, N.H : Car crashes into brick wall after crossing opposite lane in Rochester on Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015
Crown Point Road was temporarily shut down after a car crossed into the opposite lane and went off the road before crashing into a brick wall in Rochester Wednesday morning, according to police.
Emergency personnel responded to the area of 153 Crown Point Road for a car accident.
Rochester police said Sara Watson, 53, of Rochester, was driving a 2001 Saturn westbound on Crown Point Road when she lost control and overcorrected. She crossed the eastbound lane and went off the road, running into a brick wall.
A passenger in the front seat had to be extricated by the fire department because the passenger side door would not open as a result of the impact.
Neither Watson nor her passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. They were both taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The air bags in the Saturn were not deployed, but it was towed from the scene with extensive damage.
Police said weather and road conditions were contributing factors to the crash.
