ELGIN, SC : Elgin woman killed after being hit by two cars while walking on Sunday, 17th March 2024

An elderly woman died after being hit by two cars while walking across a road in Elgin.

According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, 83-year-old Nettie Hubbard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hubbard was hit while crossing White Pond Road near the Haig’s Creek Drive intersection around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 16.

A truck traveling south hit Hubbard first, followed by a minivan traveling north, South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported.
