Phoenix, AZ : One person was killed in a fatal collision at Interstate 17 On Saturday, August 20th, 2016

All lanes of northbound Interstate 17 were back open as of 3:45 p.m. Saturday following a fatal collision earlier in the day.

The two-vehicle collision occurred shortly after noon near Newman Park. One person was killed, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. No additional details were available.
The Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted that drivers can expect long delays for an extended amount of time as only the shoulder lane is open.
