Anchorage, AK : Anchorage police are investigating a collision on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Anchorage police are investigating a collision that killed a motorcyclist at the intersection of Dowling Road and Old Seward Highway.

Officers responded to the intersection at 7:28 p.m. due to a report of an accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, police spokeswoman Renee Oistad wrote in a statement.

"The motorcyclist was declared deceased at the scene approximately ten minutes later," Oistad wrote. She did not detail the cause of the crash or identify those involved.
