Marshall, MO : 2 seriously injured in Tuesday crash on Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Two people suffered serious injuries when their vehicles crashed on state Highway 210 Tuesday, Oct. 3.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred at roughly 5:50 p.m. when a 2001 GMC 3500 — driven by Lonnie G. Hayes, 57, of Kansas City, Mo. — crossed the center line. The GMC struck a 2004 Jeep Wrangler head on, according to the report. Hayes, as well as the driver of the Jeep — Franklin R. Mahurin, 50, of Waverly — both sustained serious injuries and were taken by air ambulance to hospitals for treatment.

The crash occurred west of Route EE, and both drivers were reportedly wearing safety devices.
