Pickens,SC : 1 person dead following fatal Pickens Co. wreck on June, Friday 16th 2017

Trooper confirm one person died following a collision on Highway 8 near Bethlehem Ridge Rd. in Pickens County Friday night.

According to troopers, the victim was traveling west on Highway 8 before crossing the center line and side swiping another vehicle. Troopers say the victim then ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Per troopers, the victim was wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
