Florence Township, NJ : Man extricated from truck following crash on Thursday, 8th August 2019

A 53-year-old Galesburg man was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital after a one-vehicle crash today in Florence Township.

St. Joseph County sheriff’s deputies said David Wallace Weld was driving a large box-truck north on Lutz when the truck left the road, traveled through a bean field and crossed Stears road. It continued through a yard before strike a tree, then a barn.

Weld was trapped in the truck for about 45 minutes. Members of the Constantine and White Pigeon fire departments extricated him, and he was taken to the hospital.
