Rutland City, VT : Woman left in critical condition in hit by car On Thursday December 24 2015

A woman was left in critical condition after police say she was hit by a car while crossing the street in Rutland.
It happened around 2 a.m. Thursday on South Main Street.
Police say Emily Corsones, 26, was hit by a van when she was crossing near the Center Street intersection.
She suffered serious head and internal injuries.
Police say it was raining and visibility was poor.
The driver of the van, Charles Emery, stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.
