Omaha, NE : Motorcyclist trying to avoid car dies in crash on Saturday, September 20, 2014

Omaha police say a motorcyclist is dead following a traffic accident in northwest Omaha. Police say the motorcycle was traveling west on Maple Street when a car pulled out form a side street. Police say the motorcyclist swerved around the car and lost control of the bike. Police say he slid along the ground and struck a sign on the center median. The motorcyclist was taken to an Omaha hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the man's name.
