Lewiston, ME : Orrington man injured in Farmington crash on Saturday, October 22, 2016
An Orrington man was injured Saturday when he fell asleep and his truck crossed the centerline into oncoming lanes on Wilton Road, then jumped a curb and entered Hight's Chevrolet lot.
The truck driven by Timothy Dickinson, 51, then hit a light pole, snapping it in half, before continuing on to hit a dealership loaner truck, Farmington police officer Justin Blais said.
The broken light pole landed on another truck in the lot, he said.
Dickinson, who had been staying at a variety of places, had been on his way from work when the accident happened just before 7 a.m., Blais said.
Dickinson received lacerations but declined to be taken to a hospital by a Northstar EMS ambulance crew.
Blais estimated that Dickinson's 2005 GMC was destroyed.
The other two trucks had rear-end damage.
Officer Jesse Clement and the Farmington Fire Rescue Department assisted Blais at the scene.
