Baxter, MN : Rice woman injured in a rear-end collision on Minnesota Highway 371 in Baxter on Wednesday afternoon, May 4, 2016

A Rice woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a rear-end collision on Minnesota Highway 371, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities say Marjorie Kirsling, 53, was driving south on Highway 371 when a pickup in front of her slowed in traffic around 3:30 p.m. Kirsling did not slow down in time and rear-ended the truck. Kirsling's Sprinter van suffered severe damage and she was taken to Essentia Health in Brainerd with injuries the State Patrol did not consider life-threatening.

The driver of the pickup did not report any injuries.
