CLAY COUNTY, FL : 47-year-old bicyclist killed in crash on New Year's Day in Clay County on Monday, 1st January 2024

A 47-year-old man is dead after a crash on US 17 in Clay County Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At approximately 6:46 p.m., troopers said a 20-year-old driving a Toyota pickup truck was traveling southbound in the left lane of US 17 near Clay Street.

At the same time, a 47-year-old was riding a bicycle across all three of the southbound lanes in front of the truck.
