SWANTON, OH : Ohio authorities say New York man killed after deer strike on Saturday , 5th November 2016
Ohio authorities say a 31-year-old New York man has been killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer on the Ohio Turnpike after his own vehicle hit a deer.
The state Highway Patrol reports that Hanad Mohamed of Buffalo, New York, was fatally injured at about 2:05 a.m. EDT Saturday in northwest Ohio.
Troopers say he had gotten out of his 2006 Nissan Altima after striking a deer, which left his car disabled in the left lane of the westbound side. The tractor-trailer then hit him.
The other driver and his passenger weren’t hurt. The crash caused a two-hour closure of the westbound lanes.
The crash remains under investigation.
