BURRTON, KS : Three die, three injured in crash near Burrton on Friday, 6th March, 2020

Three members of a Hutchinson family were killed Friday morning and three other people were seriously injured when a driver went left of center attempting to pass and collided with another vehicle head-on.

The fiery 10:40 a.m. crash about 1 ½ miles east of Burrton shut US-50 highway down for hours while the Kansas Highway Patrol investigated.

According to the patrol, a 1997 Ford F-250 pickup driven by Eddie Wayne Scott, 51, of Buhler, was eastbound on US-50 when he went left of center and crashed into a westbound 2011 Ford Focus driven by Robert C. England, 63, of Hutchinson.
