Orange Twp ,OH : 16 - year old girl killed and two others injured in single-car crash along I-75 on Thursday,June 4 2015

A 16-year-old girl was killed in a single-car crash on I-75 in Shelby County late Thursday. The 17-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger are being treated at local hospitals.

Troopers from the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash just after 10 p.m. on I-75 south at the 85 mile marker.

According to a media release, Logan Jessup was behind the wheel. OSP says Jessup was in the left southbound lane when the car veered off the road, hit a ditch and overturned.

The backseat passenger, Kristen Osborne, 16, was killed.

Jessup was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. Mackenzie Jessup, 13, was riding in the front seat. She was taken by Piqua EMS to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

The crash is under investigation.
