Felton, CA : Drunk Brookdale woman crashes into deputy’s patrol car on Friday February 19 2016

The patrol car of a Santa Cruz County Sheriff deputy was swiped by a drunk woman in a Kia Rio while the deputy performed traffic control just after midnight Friday.The deputy was assisting California Highway Patrol investigate a drunk driver who had crashed into a utility pole on Graham Hill Road when a Brookdale woman struck his car.
According to Sgt. Nick Baldrige, the deputy was standing outside of his vehicle, which had all of its emergency lights on, at 12:55 a.m. Saturday when the woman struck it, disabling the patrol car and narrowly missing the deputy.
Both the driver who crashed into the utility pole and the woman who collided into the deputy’s patrol car were arrest for DUI and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail, Baldrige said.
