Springfield, MO : Monett pair injured in A wreck on Highway Z, just west of Highway VV on Sunday, May 8, 2016

Two Monett residents were injured Sunday in a wreck at 8:25 p.m. on Highway Z, just west of Highway VV.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Russell Seay, 36, of Monett was driving a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound when his vehicle struck an animal in the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Seay and a passenger on the bike, Kara Seay, 36, of Monett, each suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Both were wearing safety devices, and damage to the motorcycle was extensive.
