STATESVILLE, NC : 1 dead, 5 others injured in vehicle crash in Iredell County on Saturday, 17th February 2024

One person is dead and four other people were injured in a vehicle crash in Iredell County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Officials said that NC State Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle crash around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17 on I-40 west near mile marker 156 in Iredell County.
Highway Patrol states that a Subaru Forester was traveling in the left lane and struck a car hauler trailer being pulled by a Dodge Ram 3500. Officials state that the Ram 3500 ran out of gas and pulled into the median and part of the trailer was still in the travel lanes.
Officials state that this collision caused the Forester to collide with a Toyota RAV4 that was also traveling west on I-40.
