WHITESIDE Co., IL : 1 killed Saturday in motorcycle crash in rural Rock Falls on Saturday, 16th March 2024

One person was killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash in rural Rock Falls.

Whiteside County sheriff’s deputies were notified at 7:05 a.m. about the crash on Dixon Avenue, west of Stacie Lane.

Members of the sheriff’s office’s crash reconstruction unit determined that 46-year-old Shawn Keane from Dixon was driving eastbound on Dixon Avenue at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway and partially impacted a utility pole.

Keane was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.
