San Jose, CA : Boy, 4, struck by vehicle; police arrest teen driver in hit-run incident on Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015
A 4-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Tuesday evening with non life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle near an apartment complex on the city's East Side, according to police.
Police did not provide any additional information on the boy's condition or injuries.
A 16-year-old boy suspected in the hit-and-run incident was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall, according to San Jose police officer Albert Morales.
At 6:47 p.m. police received a report that a boy was hit by a red vehicle in the area of the 2100 block of Lanai Avenue, according to police. The driver fled without stopping or returning to the scene. Police did not specify where the boy was when he was hit by the vehicle.
A short time later the suspect and the vehicle were located near the 200 block of Cedar Lane, located more than five miles away.
