DAYTONA BEACH, FL : Drunken driver hit police car on Wednesday afternoon July 23rd 2014

A man is accused hitting two police officers with his car while he was drunk, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.

Clinton Shockley, 25, was arrested after crashing into the officers on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Police say the officers were working a traffic stop on South Atlantic Avenue and were standing in front of their patrol car when Shockley slammed into it; the impact caused the patrol car to push forward and into the officers.

The officers and a prisoner that was detained in the back seat of the patrol car all suffered minor injuries, police said.

The officers say Shockley reeked of alcohol, had a drink in his vehicle and could not complete field sobriety exercises.

Shockley also refused to take a Breathalyzer test, according to police.

Shockley was charged with one count of DUI and three counts of DUI with damage to a person or property.
