Topeka, KS : Motorcyclist killed in crash near zoo on Thursday, 20th October 2016

Wichita police are investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle that happened on West 21st Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to a Sedgwick County 911 dispatcher, at North Shore and 21st, across from Sedgwick County Park.

A male motorcyclist collided with a late model Lexus, causing the Lexus to roll over. The driver of the car was reported to be in serious condition, the dispatcher said. The motorcyclist was killed.

The Wichita Fire Department had asked motorists to avoid the area. Part of 21st Street was blocked for most of the afternoon as police investigated the scene.
