Victorville, CA : Motorcyclist injured after collision on Mojave Drive Thursday morning, December 29, 2016

A motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital after a collision involving a sedan on Mojave Drive near Amargosa Road Thursday morning.

According to witnesses at the scene, a Kia sedan was traveling north on Amargosa and making a right onto Mojave when it collided with the Kawasaki motorcycle just around 8:40 a.m.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist, who was on his way to work for the first day of his new job, according to his mother at the scene, suffered some road rash and was loaded into an ambulance at 9 a.m. to be taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures.

The female drive of the Kia was uninjured and the accident was not affecting traffic.
