Three people have been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian in Santa Ana.
Santa Ana police said Monday that 23-year-old Ramiro Garcia Jr. has been booked for investigation of felony hit-and-run, driving on a suspended license and violating his probation. Garcia's sister and sister-in-law were arrested for investigation of being accessories to a felony and conspiring to obstruct justice.
It's unclear whether they have attorneys.
Police say a man was crossing a street Sunday evening when he was hit by a car that then fled. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Garcia's arrest came after police found a car abandoned a few miles from the scene and concluded it was involved in the hit-and-run.
The name of the man killed has not been released.
